Biography

CEDRIC ANGELO M. FESTIN is a Professor of Computer Science at UP Diliman and holds the Dado and Maria Banatao Professorial Chair and also a Senior Member of the IEEE. He obtained his PhD in Computer Science from University College London and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and BS degree in Computer Science at the University of the Philippines. He was the UP-Dado Banatao Fellow at UC Berkeley in 2008 where he worked with Eric Brewer and the TIER group. He is currently the team leader for the multi-year CHED-PCARI project Village Base Station. (corresponding author: cmfestin@up.edu. ph)
