Biography

BASTIAN MEIRESONNE  is an Asian movies specialist. Working in French press as a freelance, he collaborated at a dozen Asian movies related books and signed an essay about Japanese director Imamura Shohei—Evaporation D’Une Reality (Vanisying of a Certain Reality). He serves as a consultant for French Asian movies distribution companies and numerous festivals. He was in charge of two important Indonesian movies retrospectives at Black Movie Film Festival in Geneva in 2011 and Vesoul’s International Asian Film Festival 2013. He finished his second documentary about Indonesian Action Cinema Garuda Power: Lost Action Heroes in 2014 (corresponding Author: bmeiresonne@yahoo.com).
