Biography

MICHAEL PRIELER is a Professor in the Media School at Hallym University, South Korea. He has also been a Visiting Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (USA) and at City University of Hong Kong. He is an expert on content analysis and his research focuses on media representations of gender, race/ethnicity, and age. He has published in a variety of international journals on these topics, including Mass Communication and Society, Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly, International Communication Gazette, Telematics and Informatics, Telecommunications Policy, African Journalism Studies, Sex Roles, and the International Journal of Cultural Studies, among others (contact: prieler@hallym.ac.kr).
