Plaridel Journal Call for Papers: Online Relationships

Plaridel Journal: A Philippine Journal of Communication, Media, and Society. This journal is based at the University of the Philippines College of Mass Communication. The journal is an open-access publication that is indexed in Scopus, EBSCO Information Services, the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) of Clarivate Analytics, and the ASEAN Citation Index (ACI). 

The December 2021 issue of the Plaridel looks at the various forms of online relationships. The issue wants to interrogate mediated / mediatized ways of creating, maintaining, and even ending the ever-changing and complex forms of social lives in online platforms. It hopes to shed light on the value, process, and permutations of personal and public relationships that have flourished and ended in the online world(s). The journal welcomes studies that are informed by theory and grounded on reliable data. Topics may not necessarily be about the Philippines. Submission should be on or before June 15, 2021.

Manuscript should be written with proper citations using the American Psychological Association (APA) style. It should have a minimum of 5,000 words and must not exceed 10,000 words. Your article should be accompanied by an abstract of 100 to 150 words. The article will undergo a blind review once submitted.
