Biography
FIL DELA CRUZ (Aaron Philip dela Cruz) (she/her) (apdelacruz@ateneo.edu) graduated with a master’s degree in Anthropology at the University of the Philippines – Diliman. She obtained her undergraduate studies in Literature (magna cum laude) at the University of Santo Tomas. Her thesis Logging Into the Virtual Cockpit:Defining the Neoliberalization of Philippine Cockfighting through an Ethnography of Pagkikilatis in Online and Onsite Sabong won 4th place in the 3rd Loretta Makasiar Prize for the Social Sciences. She teaches literature and pop culture courses at the Ateneo de Manila University and teaches social sciences and anthropology courses at University of the Philippines – Diliman. Her publications and scholarly work focus on anthrozoology, but her interests include ecocriticism and gender studies.
