ANNETTE HAMILTON is Professor Emerita in Arts and Social Sciences at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. She is a pioneer in the field of Media Anthropology and widely published in Film Studies and Southeast Asian Cultural Studies. Her work on cinema in Thailand and her papers on Australian cinema and national identity are widely referenced. Her recent research on Cambodia has appeared in several journals. A book, Cambodia on Screen: History, Memory, Cinema is in preparation.
