Biography

RAUL C. NAVARRO, PhD is currently Professor and Chair of the Conducting and Choral Ensemble Department of the University of the Philippines College of Music. In 2008, he received the National Book Award (History Category) for his first book, Kolonyal na Patakaran at ang Nagbabagong Kamalayang Filipino: Musika sa Publikong Paaralan sa Filipinas, 1898-1935, published by the Ateneo University Press in 2007 (corresponding author: rcnavarro@up.edu.ph)
