In 2007, the committee unanimously chose Ms. Cecilia “Cheche” L. Lazaro for her outstanding contributions to the local television industry; for her excellence and versatility in the field of television broadcasting as a broadcast journalist, producer, and media educator; and for producing critical and uncompromising programs that raised the standards of Philippine broadcast journalism.
