Biography

GIAN CARLO ALCANTARA is full-time faculty member and the Chairperson of the General Education Department, iACADEMY. He received his M.A. Communication degree from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in 2018. He is currently working towards his Ph.D. Philippine Studies degree at the De La Salle University. His research interests include new media, online discourse, and religious communication (corresponding author: gian.alcantara@iacademy.edu.ph).
