Biography
Feorillo A. Demeterio III (feorillo.demeterio@dlsu.edu.ph) is a Distinguished Full Professor in the Department of Filipino, College of Liberal Arts, De La Salle University, where he also serves as Executive Director of the Research and Grants Management Office. He has authored several books on Philippine politics, Catholic bishops, Ferdinand Blumentritt, Mindanao, workplace inclusion, and Filipino-Spanish churches, and has written or co-written more than 100 articles on hermeneutics, cultural studies, Philippine studies, and Filipino philosophy. Demeterio has held visiting research professorships at the Catholic University of America and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He received recognition as an outstanding philosophy alumnus of the University of Santo Tomas in 2014 and the Matthew Eichler Memorial Fellowship in Education in 2022. He co-founded the Andrew Gonzalez Philippine Citation Index and currently heads the Matter and Memory Research Laboratory of De La Salle University’s College of Liberal Arts. His scholarship bridges philosophy, culture, history, and education.
